The problem
Can’t directly attribute traffic to my subscribers, because they are not distributed in my web analytics.
Why? Subscribers from the offline applications classified as “Get” (direct) ((none)) “in Google Analytics. I simply can not attribute “(direct) ((none))” only to the subscriber’s traffic due to “(direct) ((none))” may contain your browser bookmarks, direct URL or other applications (eg, Twitter Apps).
Solution
This morning, I had the brilliant idea that would solve this problem: auto-tagged with the RSS permalinks UTM campaign tags also). Then, the subscriber’s traffic is automatically segmented into Google Analytics!
Implementation: I wrote a WordPress plugin to make it easy
I’m trying to get it hosted by Wordpress easy to install. Until then, do the following:
- Download the plugin and pure
- Download it to your / wp-content/plugins / directory
- Activate the plugin Subscribers for incoming traffic Tracker the WordPress control panel
- Subscriber traffic will not show up under the Campaigns Google Analytics
Links to your posts in an RSS feed should now have extra supplies a URL, which allows you to monitor incoming traffic from Google Analytics to the subscriber. Enjoy!
