There are a ton of internet based businesses out there with websites trying to make some money so if you have a website, your main goal is likely to make money online. To install Mr GRiM’s Glossy Blue Icon Pack, extract the folder called
‘MrGRiMsIcons’ and then run the ‘INSTALL.cmd’ inside the folder.

CREATE BACKUPS!

It’s HIGHLY recommended that you backup the files yourself to a safe
location before proceeding.
The install does create backups and a System Restore Point but if
something was to go wrong (like a power failure during running) you then
have another way out!

The files can ONLY be installed then removed once without running the util
in the ‘Data’ folder called ‘UninstallCleanup.cmd’.. this is a safety feature
to prevent the original files (once backed-up) being over-wrote.

From the beginning of Facebook, people have used their real names to share and connect with the people they know. This authenticity helps to create a trusted environment because you know the identity of the people and things on Facebook. The one place, though, where your identity wasn’t reflected was in the Web address for your profile or the Facebook Pages you administer. The URL was just a randomly assigned number like “id=592952074.” That soon will change.

We’re planning to offer Facebook usernames to make it easier for people to find and connect with you. When your friends, family members or co-workers visit your profile or Pages on Facebook, they will be able to enter your username as part of the URL in their browser. This way people will have an easy-to-remember way to find you. We expect to offer even more ways to use your Facebook username in the future.

Your new Facebook URL is like your personal destination, or home, on the Web. People can enter a Facebook username as a search term on Facebook or a popular search engine like Google, for example, which will make it much easier for people to find friends with common names. Your username will have the same privacy setting as your profile name in Search, and you can always edit your search privacy settings here.

Starting at 12:01 a.m. EDT on Saturday, June 13, you’ll be able to choose a username on a first-come, first-serve basis for your profile and the Facebook Pages that you administer by visiting www.facebook.com/username/. You’ll also see a notice on your home page with instructions for obtaining your username at that time.

Facebook usernames will be available in basic text forms, and you can only choose a single username for your profile and for each of the Pages that you administer. Your username must be at least five characters in length and only include alphanumeric characters (A-Z, 0-9), or a period or full stop (“.”). While usernames are currently available only for Romanized text, we’re looking at how we might support non-Romanized characters in the future.

Hence, you try to shutdown or restart your computer, nothing happens at all. If you’re lucky, after a minute or two, you might see a message pop up saying that a process is hung and you can either let Windows try to end it or you can press End Now. I always prefer End Now!

Unfortunately, sometimes Windows simply refuses to shutdown and it won’t give you any kind of message. Don’t worry, the underlying cause of this is still a hung process, so all you need to do is kill the non-critical Windows processes one by one or modify the registry so that a hung process is automatically ended without manual intervention. I’ll explain both methods.

KILL WINDOWS PROCESSES USING TASK MANAGER

If you want to figure out exactly which process is preventing Windows from shutting down properly, then you need open the Task Manager and start ending processes one by one. To open the Task Manager, pressCTRL + ALT + DEL and press the Task Manager button.

You can also press CTRL + SHIFT + ESC and the Task Manager will start up automatically. Click on the Processes tab and press the User Namecolumn header to sort the processes by user.

Now beginning ending each process that has a user name that matches the current user name of the Windows account you are logged into. Do not kill the Local Service, Network Service or System processes. Those are usually not the cause of the hang. Once you kill the process that is holding up the shutdown process, Windows will be begin shutting down immediately, so make sure you remember the name of each process before killing it.

If you’re not completely comfortable with the Task Manager, be sure to read my introduction to the Task Manager at my other tech site. Once you’ve figured out the process name, uninstall that program or repair it. You can also search on Google for the process name if it is not something obvious like Safecfg.exe, etc.

AUTOMATICALLY KILL PROCESSES VIA REGISTRY

You can also modify a registry key so that Windows will automatically kill any process that is hung. This will ensure Windows will shutdown or restart when you ask it to. Open the registry by clicking on Start, thenRun and typing in regedit.

Navigate to the following registry key:
HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\CONTROL PANEL\DESKTOP

In the right hand pane, double click on AutoEndTasks and change the value from 0 to 1.

Now simply reboot your machine and hung processes will be ended automatically when you restart or shutdown your computer.

NOTE: Whenever modifying any keys in the Registry, be sure to make abackup of the entire Registry in case something goes wrong.
