Facebook has become one of the most advanced platforms to grow your and many people in business. Make any attention about it … Now there are lots of people spend their times too much there! And best of all it is FREE. But it can be a bit confused as to build a business on Facebook.

There are two main options for hosting your business presence on Facebook ~ by using a fan page or group. In other hand a facebook group and fan page are similar, but there are some differences to consider.

Fan Pages

Fan pages are used to promote people, celebrities, groups of individuals, businesses and more. They are designed to increase promotion, attract fans and generally used to raise awareness and online presence and interaction with customers and potential customers. The “commercialization or marketing” of the person or group are being promoted through a fan page happens in a variety of ways.

1. When a some one or person “like” a fan page, the connection is placed or posted into the wall and then will shows to the homepage of the feed of others to see. Then the friends of the person to click on the linked page… Thus the number of supporters grows.

2. the others advantages is that you don’t need be a user to see a fan page on Facebook. A person can follow a link from somewhere, for example. a site and look up on Facebook from anywhere in the world.

3. These pages are not private pages … its means that anyone can access any information on a given page, even if they have not “liked”

4. It is easy to put a link to a page of fan pages on Facebook … you can putting the pages name in front of different groups of people.

The site is easier to use and has fewer limitations and more options to customize and improve the functionality of a group. The site is run by “managers” that can be changed when necessary, and allows those who have already been added as an administrator to make changes and publish the page on the wall and generally manage the site and its events.

Facebook Group

As its name implies, a group is designed for socialization and interaction between the members who have brought together for any purpose of groups. A group is run by “managers” who can change the information, images, etc and accept members.

There are a number of options with a group, such as crate groups as a private, closed, where members can discuss sensitive and confidential information. Individuals must request to join such groups.

There are some advantages of creating a group for your business. One advantage is that you can send an email to members of the group. This is especially useful if you are offering free training, promotions, events, etc.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Be careful how much information you send. Don’t make any SPAM, really it can make people leave your group. None of us like spam, so make sure you have to say is important. I would recommend no more than two messages a week!!!

Using Facebook for Advertising and promotion.

When it comes to paid advertising on Facebook, you can not advertise a group. You will have to refer people to a blog or website and send back to their group on Facebook from there. A fan page of facebook can be easily linked to the Facebook advertising. Most of people will be invited to join a group (although some people only join if they like what they see).

Make an informed decision.

Before taking a decision for your business to create a fan page or group important to review what the objectives of the page … you want to achieve. Much more can be done with a fan page of adding functionality, whereas a group may be the answer if you do not need anything else, and it is only a means to bring people together for a purpose.

One of the best ways to help determine the differences between a fan page and group is really going to see some out. See how they function, how they are look and how they work .. at last make an informed decision from there.
